In a statement, NPF press and media bureau said that the Congress seemed to have lost all sense of direction after feeding AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi with “lies and wrong information”. The state Congress leaders have been an embarrassment to the party high command as they had been “pulled up” by Central leaders and all they could do was point fingers to NPF. “The state of affairs in the Congress indicates the lack of vision and clarity on any aspect”, said NPF. The party said that state Congress leaders in the past had miserably failed to provide any vision to the Nagas, particularly the youth as they have become “habitual liars.”
Accusing the Congress of being stuck in making false allegations, unjustified accusations and repeating lies, NPF said the book which the Congress brought out recently was just a “compilation of questions” raised in the assembly over the past years and the same had been satisfactorily replied with facts and figures.
NPF also took on Rahul Gandhi stating that his “capability and capacity” has been revealed to the Nagas for judgment. His address to the people lacked any intellectually convincing agenda and there was neither vision nor motivation for the youth, said NPF.
Despite having some of the best minds of the country working for him, Rahul’s capability has been exposed time and again, said NPF and added that he has failed to convince the people of the region in all his visits apart from making promises. Pointing out that the people of the Northeast wanted “action and decisions” and not promises, NPF said Congress leaders in the state have become “spiteful and their below the belt politics reveals their intent” as they were jealous of NPF gaining strength.
NPF said that Rio’s election as the leader of North East Regional Parties Front (NERPF) indicated “acceptability” of NPF and the chief minister of Nagaland in the eyes of the people of the region. NPF said the Congress leaders could not digest the fact that the NPF and its leadership were playing a bigger and more contributory role in regional and national politics.
NPF accused the Congress of failing to serve the people while serving the Gandhi family in far-away Delhi who came to the state on a flying visit once in five years during elections.
The party also pointed out that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could not come to Nagaland despite serving two terms. NPF said the Nagas were proud of the party’s achievements and NPF was ready to play a greater role beyond the borders.

Naga People’s Front (NPF) Monday took a dig at Congress in Nagaland and said that the party lacked “vision and clarity” on any aspects confronting the state.
