{"id":160371,"date":"2014-04-01T00:44:28","date_gmt":"2014-04-01T00:44:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/04\/01\/acaut-against-organizations-undertaking-donation-drive\/"},"modified":"2014-04-01T00:44:28","modified_gmt":"2014-04-01T00:44:28","slug":"acaut-against-organizations-undertaking-donation-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/04\/01\/acaut-against-organizations-undertaking-donation-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"ACAUT against organizations undertaking donation drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Following its interaction with civil society leaders of Mon district on March 24, Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland has stated that it was \u201cconstrained to take into account\u201d the view of Konyak students\u2019 Union (KSU) president Manlip Konyak that student bodies and NGOs should not undertake any sort of donation drive in the market.<br \/>\nIn a press release, ACAUT Nagaland stated it has resolved that any organization, whether student bodies, tribal organisations or NGOs, undertaking any donation drive in the markets causing undue harassment to the business community was unacceptable and condemnable.<br \/>\nACAUT stated that specifically Dimapur the commercial hub the state was witness to such \u201cunsavoury activities\u201d, adding that it would be \u201cever vigilant on this count.\u201d<br \/>\nFurther, ACAUT stated that \u201cpresent trend\u201d of organizations including civil society bodies asking for commission from contractors undertaking contract works in their respective areas was uncalled for. <br \/>\nIt called upon the public to bring such incidences to the notice of ACAUT Nagaland whenever possible.
