{"id":160545,"date":"2014-03-30T01:23:40","date_gmt":"2014-03-30T01:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/03\/30\/nscn-k-responds-to-cvc-over-march-12-incident\/"},"modified":"2014-03-30T01:23:40","modified_gmt":"2014-03-30T01:23:40","slug":"nscn-k-responds-to-cvc-over-march-12-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/03\/30\/nscn-k-responds-to-cvc-over-march-12-incident\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCN (K) responds to CVC over March 12 incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>NSCN (K) Chakhesang region has responded to Chesezumi village council (CVC)\u2019s press statement, published March 20, which condemned March 12 Phek incident involving one Vekhota, who allegedly attempted on the life of Veseto Ringa, NST Bus Conductor, Phek March 12 at Phek Town.<br \/>\nSeeking to clarify the \u201cmisunderstandings and confusions\u201d, NSCN (K) Chakhesang region chairman Zacupoyi Nyekha, in a press release, stated that the region authority had given \u201ca clear stand\u201d on March 13, 2014 by its kilonser Thupuvezo during the public protest rally held at Phek Town against Vekhota\u2019s \u201cdastardly act\u201d.<br \/>\nChakhesang region chairman claimed that Region authorities \u201cIn fact\u201d neither recruited Vekhota as their cadre nor had any intention to re-recruit him \u201cbecause of his bad habitual defection natures till the incident took place.\u201d<br \/>\nFurther, the NSCN (K) region authority stated that after Veseto Ringa was shot at, the regional authorities were alarmed and began to find out if any one of their cadres were involved. <br \/>\nBut found no fault and the \u201csheer involvement\u201d of Vekhota came into picture. That was when, Region chairman said they started to hunt for Vekhota and police also moved in to nab the accused.<br \/>\nHowever, NSCN (K) Chakhesang region chairman said Vekhota escaped and on March 13 night \u201che committed suicide by shooting himself with his own arm.<br \/>\n\u201cSo, no action could be taken against him and on our part the matter was closed,\u201d Zacupoyi Nyekha said.<br \/>\nTherefore, NSCN (K) Chakhesang region has demanded Chesezu Village Council \u201cto get justify the confusions and appealed not to tarnish our good images in days to come, because, we are with our people for peaceful co-existence but not to victim no one.\u201d<br \/>\nNSCN (K) Chakhesang region further claimed that Vekhota, a GPRN\/NSCN on March 9, 2014 surrendered to NSCN (K) with his relatives not to join any group and agreement was signed between relatives and Region authorities.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, region chairman said \u201cthe public and our Government had totally condemned his inhumanly involvement which caused him to commit suicide.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NSCN (K) Chakhesang region has responded to Chesezumi village council (CVC)\u2019s press statement, published March 20, which condemned March 12 Phek incident involving one Vekhota, who allegedly attempted on the life of Veseto Ringa, NST Bus Conductor, Phek March 12 at Phek Town.
