In a press release,&nbsp; CASU general secretary Yutsithri Jingba stated that in other parts of India, teachers were regarded as \u201cnation builder\u201d, but in Nagaland teachers were treated as \u201cnation beggar\u201d, where they were protesting for their daily bread.<br \/>\nFor the past few years, the union said teachers were fighting for exemption from paying taxes to factions and today they were \u201ccrying for regular salaries\u201d. In such situation, CASU said teachers were gradually \u201closing their interest\u201d of teaching.
