Meranger Yimti, Dimapur (MYD) has appealed the district administration to stop the ban on free passage the village imposed by Indisen Village, Dimapur within 24 hours from the publication of this statement. In a representation addressed to the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dimapur, MYD president T. Moa Lkr and secretary S. Manen Pongen said that Meranger Yimti comprised of Longsa Khel, Chuchuyimlang Khel, Yaongyimsen Khel, Akhoya Khel supported by Vesheto group, Hokito Tisscer group, T. Chlumse group, Toshi Sangtam group, Konyak group and Kulem Yim and sought the administration\u2019s immediate action. MYD recalled that the issue of obstruction of village in Naga \u201cunoccupied land\u201d was already intimated to the authority on March 3 but so far there has been no action taken. MYD informed that the ban on free passage on public road should be halted within 24 hours and said the ban imposed by Indisen Village was illegal and violation of Naga customary law and natural law which attracted legal action from authority. The village said the ban has caused huge loses and has affected the economy of the public and government as well. Pointing out that there was a possibility of clashes and disturbances to peaceful coexistence if the ban was still enforced, MYD said it also violated fundamental rights and personal liberty as enshrined in the Constitution.
