Enrique Iglesias\u2019 also-famous father, Julio Iglesias, has never met his girlfriend Anna Kournikova after 12 years of dating. The Latin singer made the surprising admission in Billboard\u2019s April 2014 issue.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe last 14 years, 15 years of my life have flown by. And that\u2019s the only way I can truly explain it,\u201d the 38-year-old said. \u201cThere\u2019s no reason why &#8212; it\u2019s not his fault, and it\u2019s not my fault.\u201d Iglesias and his dad, who is the best-selling Latin music artist in history, have had a strained relationship over the years. Last year, the 70-year-old said he would never collaborate with his son, although he did hint that one day he would spend time with his grandchildren.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cSinging with my son is something that would come off as very commercial,\u201d Spanish-born Julio told El Universal at the time. \u201cI think that he and I will never sing together. If we sing, it will be at a dinner, when he has kids and wants his kids to sing, just like my little ones do. I don\u2019t believe in a public commercial duet between my kids and me.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Enrique and tennis pro Kournikova, 32, first met on the set of the singer\u2019s \u201cEscape\u201d music video in 2001. Although they\u2019ve been an item for quite some time, marriage doesn\u2019t seem to be on their agenda.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it\u2019s because I come from divorced parents, but I don\u2019t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper,\u201d Iglesias told Parade back in March 2012. \u201cNowadays, it\u2019s not taboo to have kids and not be married.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201c[Marriage] isn\u2019t important to me,\u201d Kournikova added in the October 2011 issue of Women\u2019s Health. \u201cI\u2019m in a happy relationship &#8212; that\u2019s all that matters.\u201d<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hold up!
