It was a big news when Amitab Bachchan stopped doing the Pepsi commercials saying that he is inspired by an IIM student for this action. Bachchan was at a session at IIM Ahmedabad and was bowled over by the logic of a student who was present there as she asked him why he wants to promote the soft drinks which her teacher has branded as \u2018poison\u2019. <\/div>\n
He said that the girl\u2019s statement made him think about it seriously and that\u2019s how he quit doing advertisements for them. But the Pepsi company says that Senior Bachchan\u2019s contract with them came to a natural end after 8 year time period. Company claims that they didn\u2019t extend the contract with Bachchan. Is Pepsi implying that Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is lying? <\/div>\n
There seems to be no reason for a star of his stature to lie and Amitabh Bachchan doesn\u2019t have to care about earning an advertisement contract now at this point of his career. But Pepsico maintains that they are astonished by such a statement from their current brand ambassador who will be soon finishing his term with them. <\/div>\n
Sources close to Pepsico said that Senior Bachchan is a living legend and employees of the firm are saddened by the remarks Mr.Bachchan made. It is reported that Amitabh had a 8 year contract with the company which has been paying him 3 crores per year to the actor.
