{"id":165937,"date":"2014-01-14T23:56:18","date_gmt":"2014-01-14T23:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/01\/14\/ksus-49th-general-conference-on-jan-20-22\/"},"modified":"2014-01-14T23:56:18","modified_gmt":"2014-01-14T23:56:18","slug":"ksus-49th-general-conference-on-jan-20-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/01\/14\/ksus-49th-general-conference-on-jan-20-22\/","title":{"rendered":"KSU\u2019s 49th general conference on Jan 20-22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Correspondent<\/p>\n<p>Kyong Students\u2019 Union (KSU) would be holding its 49th general conference at local ground, Lakhuti village under Wokha district on January 20-22, 2014 under the theme \u2018The Kyongs at Nagaland\u2019s Fifty Years of Statehood\u2019.<br \/>\nAt a press conference Tuesday here at KSU office attended by conference organizing committee members and addressed by organizing committee convenor Michael Pithungo Ezung, KSU president Subenthung Kithan and finance committee convenor Ejanthung Ngullie, the officials appealed all well-wishers and the people of the district for cooperation so as to successfully conduct KSU\u2019s 49th general conference. <br \/>\nElaborating on the various programmes and highlights of the conference, the KSU officials also assured that preparations were in full-swing and almost over at Lakhuti village, the venue of its 49th general conference.<br \/>\nThe election commission of KSU also appealed all stakeholders to cooperate with it so as to enable it to smoothly conduct process of election of new office bearers during the general conference.<br \/>\nNagaland governor Dr. Ashwani Kumar would be the chief guest for the conference while minister for forest and border affairs Y. Patton and MLA from 38 Wokha A\/C Dr. T.M. Lotha would be the guests of honour for the conference\u2019s inaugural and valedictory sessions respectively. The conference is being hosted by Lakhuti Students\u2019 Union with MLA and NSMDC chairman N. Thomas Ngullie as chief host. <br \/>\nOther dignitaries attending the conference include land resources director Mhathung Yanthan (introductory guest), DRDA Wokha project director Liboni Humtsoe (literary guest), and Kohima Science College associate professor of physics Dr. Stephen Lotha (cultural regale guest) while Dimapur Government College associate professor of economics Dr. M.L.
