In a press release the Election Commission of India said that the re-polling would begin at 7 a.m. and go on till 4 p.m. at the respective polling stations.<\/p>\n
It maybe mentioned that the re-polling in nine polling booths were ordered as voting was adjourned because of disturbances by miscreants, clashes between supporters of political parties and candidates and damage of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in several booths on February 23, a notification of the state election department said. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, elections to Tuensang Sadar-I was countermanded following the demise of Congress candidate P Chuba Chang on February 22 from where he was seeking re-election. Counting of votes will be held on February 28 next.<\/p>\n

\nDIMAPUR, FEB 25 (NPN): In view sporadic post-poll violence and heightening of tension in several places, DCs of Dimapur and Mokokchung have promulgated Section 144 Cr PC in specified areas.

\nDC Mokokchung Muroho Chotsu stated that the prohibitory order came into effect from 5 p.m. on February 25 to 5 a.m. of February 26 till further orders. <\/p>\n
\nAssembly of three or more persons on the streets or public places including holding of public meetings have been banned under the section. <\/p>\n
\n
\nMovement of vehicles other than those belonging to security forces, magistrates, medical or authorized vehicles have been banned in the specified zones without the prior permission of the DC, Mokokchung.
\n
\nThrough another order, DC Mokokchung informed all candidates in the district that only counting supervisors and counting assistants, persons authorized by the Election Commission, public servants on duty in connection with the election, candidates and their agents would be allowed inside the counting hall on February 28 from 8 a.m. onwards. <\/p>\n
\nWith reports of post-poll violence hitting several constituencies, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Monday appealed all Nagas to maintain Christian spirit of \u201ctolerance\u201d amongst them. <\/p>\n
