{"id":167464,"date":"2013-12-22T23:56:49","date_gmt":"2013-12-22T23:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/12\/22\/organizations-condemn-assault-on-passengers\/"},"modified":"2013-12-22T23:56:49","modified_gmt":"2013-12-22T23:56:49","slug":"organizations-condemn-assault-on-passengers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/12\/22\/organizations-condemn-assault-on-passengers\/","title":{"rendered":"Organizations condemn  assault on passengers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Sumi Totimi Hoho (STH) has condemned in strongest of terms, the attempted murder, rape, molestation and physical assault on Helito, a missionary in Arunachal Pradesh and a minor girl Inalito who along with another male missionary teacher and the driver, who were also physically assaulted in the morning of December 21 while on their way from Dimapur to Zunheboto.<br \/>\nIn a release, STH president Kitoli Naje and general secretary Kotoli K.Assumi termed the act as \u201cbarbaric\u201d and \u201cdastardly\u201d which shows that even church workers and minors were not safe at the hands of errant underground cadres.<br \/>\nSTH called for women organisations and churches across the state to condemn such acts so that such incidents are not repeated elsewhere in the state.<br \/>\nNaga Hoho: Naga Hoho has expressed shock on learning the \u201cirrational act of violence\u201d inflicted on two female passengers and co-passengers of Zunheboto bound Tata Sumo taxi coming from Dimapur by four armed cadres on Saturday.<br \/>\nIn a statement, Naga Hoho information and publicity secretary C. Daipao said the molestation and torture of the two females and assault on other passengers was \u201calien\u201d to Naga culture and traits of love and hospitality. <br \/>\nThe hoho said that such actions could not be tolerated on any grounds and condemned the \u201cbarbaric and inhuman act\u201d by the armed miscreants under the guise of national workers. <br \/>\nThe hoho appealed responsible authority to take action against the culprits and award them befitting punishment. <br \/>\nZTYO: Zunheboto Town Youth Organisation (ZTYO) has also vehemently condemned the action of 4 NSCN (IM) cadres. In a release, ZTYO president Ahoto Yeptho and secretary Vishiho Aye termed the act as most \u201cunthinkable\u201d and \u201cinhuman\u201d by the \u201cnational workers.\u201d The release offered the organization\u2019s fullest support to the resolutions adopted at the protest rally on December 22 and further urged the authorities within the NSCN (I-M) and the district administration to deliver justice to the victims. <br \/>\nSKK: All Sumi Students Union (SKK) has vehemently condemned the December 21 incident of assault, mental and physical abuse and molestation of two female passengers &#8212; a minor school girl and a woman missionary along with the driver, school teacher and other co-passengers by four armed cadres.<br \/>\nTerming the incident as an attempt to murder, rape and rob, SKK said such acts of brutality, atrocity and abuse in the name of national struggle by armed cadres was a gross violation of human rights and grave crime against women.<br \/>\nThe driver and the male co-passengers were subjected to extreme mental and physical abuse, torture and brutality under the gunpoint without any rhyme or reason, said SKK.
