Another attraction for the visitors is the puppies of different pedigrees including Labradors, Saint Bernard and Pugs which are available for sale at the venue.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Smart planters\u2019 another eye catching stall displaying a variety of light weight, stylish planters for both contemporary and traditional settings that can be used inside or out in different colours to match and compliment ones interior decor are also on sale. <\/p>\n<p>Variety of Agri products, tools, decorative pieces, traditional attires, shawls, ornaments and the like have been put up on display for sale.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Popular items at NE States Pavilion<\/span><br \/>\nIn a press release, NER Agri Expo office stated that most popular item at the NE states pavilion was orange from Arunachal Pradesh that was sold out within two hours. <\/p>\n<p>The other item from Arunachal Pradesh was Kiwi, which was also fast selling out. At the Assam stall, exhibitors said their most popular item was the Mustard seed chutney. The distinctive feature of the chutney is that it is without chilly content yet hot. Tripura brought Hybrid True Potato seed besides other items.<\/p>\n<p>Mizoram\u2019s most popular item was Oil Palm.&nbsp; Mizoram officials said their state already has 10, 000 hectares land plantation of oil palm and factories are setting up accordingly. <\/p>\n<p>Sikkim will be selling cardamom towards the end of the Expo. Nagaland horticulture department is also exhibiting varieties of orchids at their stall which is accommodated at the NE states Pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>Multi-purpose medicine made of 50-60 herbal plants having anti-cancer, anti-diabetes, anti-typhoid, anti-malaria properties was also on sale.<\/p>\n<p>Glimpse of the North East-NEZCC was another attraction of the inaugural day of the&nbsp;&nbsp; Agri Expo. US senator Paul Strauss was the special guest on the occasion. <\/p>\n<p>The glimpse of the North East Cultural troupes included Assamese Bihu Dance by Suraddhani Sanskritik Gusthi cultural troupe from Assam; Nimso Kening dance of the Karbis-Diphu Cultural troupe, Diphu; Wangala dance by Garo-Garo Cultural troupe; Litho shele pheta by Chakesang Zuve Cultural troupe, Dimapur; Jhumur dance by Suraddhani Sanskritik Gusthi cultural troupe from Assam and Rit nong Chingdi Kekan by Karbi Diphu Cultural troupe, Diphu.&nbsp; The cultural presentations were followed by musical presentation by the UDX band.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National level exhibition cum vendor development programme began at Agri Expo Site, Dimapur, where altogether 50 stalls have been put up by micro, small and medium enterprises from northeast states.
