{"id":16851,"date":"2013-02-15T01:08:19","date_gmt":"2013-02-15T01:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/02\/15\/npf-responds-to-sonias-allegations\/"},"modified":"2013-02-15T01:08:19","modified_gmt":"2013-02-15T01:08:19","slug":"npf-responds-to-sonias-allegations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/02\/15\/npf-responds-to-sonias-allegations\/","title":{"rendered":"NPF responds to Sonia\u2019s allegations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Naga People\u2019s Front (NPF) has reacted to the allegations against the NPF-led DAN government made by AICC president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, during Congress election rally in Dimapur February 7.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly responding to allegations that Rs. 89 crore transferred by the centre for development of tourism in the state \u201cvanished without any result\u201d, NPF, through its press and media bureau, said most of the amount of Rs. 89 crore has been received by the state government in several installments during the four years between 2006-07 and 2009-10. <\/p>\n<p>NPF stated that all of them have been \u201cjudiciously utilized\u201d for creation of tourism infrastructure and facilities all over the state and most of them have been completed.<\/p>\n<p>It pointed out that out of 28 projects taken up in different parts of the state only three projects were yet to be completed. Further, NPF pointed out that an amount of Rs. 4.63 crore was yet to be released by the centre.<\/p>\n<p>NPF highlighted some of the projects completed, which include integrated circuit development in Zunheboto, Tuensang, Kiphire, Wokha, Nuiland, Pughoboto, Tseminyu and Asukhuto; development of tourist travel destination in Kohima, Zunheboto and Mokokchung; development of eco and adventure tourism; development of rural tourism in six destinations in Mokokchung, Wokha, Phek and Zunheboto; central assistance for setting up of hotel management institute at Dimapur; integrated circuit development connecting seven destinations across four districts; upgradation and improvement of tourist village roads; establishment of adventure and eco-tourism trails\/footpaths and development of tourist travel circuit in backward areas including Longlen, Peren and Mon. In the light of the above, NPF stated that Sonia Gandhi got her information all wrong and exposed the truth that her speech contained \u201cfalse and baseless allegations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reiterating its earlier statement, NPF said Sonia Gandhi\u2019s speech during the election rallies of the Congress was devoid of any vision but was made to stoop to the low levels of the Nagaland Congress who had nothing else to do but make false allegations and try to fool the public with lies.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that Sonia\u2019s address to the Naga people was wasted in making false allegations about tourism projects, NPF said she either got her facts wrong or she was misled by the Congress leaders of Nagaland. <\/p>\n<p>The reality, NPF said was that instead of winning the hearts and minds of the Naga people Sonia Gandhi\u2019s visit to Nagaland for election campaign resulted in more embarrassment for the Congress. \u201cThe intellect of the Naga people cannot be undermined by anybody,\u201d said NPF.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Naga People\u2019s Front (NPF) has reacted to the allegations against the NPF-led DAN government made by AICC president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, during Congress election rally in Dimapur February 7.
