At the concluding session Tuesday, Naga Hoho reaffirmed the desire of Naga people to live as one people and resolved to stand united under the Naga Hoho (NH) family and also decided to press for an early \u201chonourable and acceptable\u201d solution to the protracted \u201cIndo-Naga\u201d political issue.<\/p>\n
This was the resolution at the concluding day of the two-day 10th general session of the Naga Hoho held in the Lotha Tribal Council Hall, Wokha.<\/p>\n
It was further resolved to adopt the Naga Hoho presidential speech as a position paper and roadmap to guide the Hoho and the general secretary report as a resolution.<\/p>\n
The general session also elected a new team of executive council members for 2013-2018. The members were administered the oath of affirmation by search\/nomination committee convenor Sovenyi and dedicated by KBES evangelist Rev. L.L. Kikon.<\/p>\n
Outgoing Naga Hoho president Keviletuo Kiewhuo, congratulated the new team and also said it had been a privilege to be part of Naga Hoho for the past 15 years. <\/p>\n
He also thanked the Naga people and the tribe Hohos for their constant support throughout his years in the Naga Hoho. <\/p>\n
The new Naga Hoho president P. Chuba Oz\u00fckum in his acceptance speech, said he was overwhelmed to the new president of the hoho and termed it as a great honour and privilege. <\/p>\n
He assured the Nagas that he would represent them with honesty, integrity and sincerity. The amended constitution of the Naga Hoho was also released by the amendment committee convenor Timikha Koza.<\/p>\n
The general session also honoured its pioneers including former Lotha Hoho chairmen Renchio Yanthan and Late Nyanbemo Ngullie, Dr. T.M. Lotha and Pinyimthung Patton under whose initiatives formation of a pan-Naga body in the early 1990s eventually led to the formation of the present Naga Hoho.<\/p>\n
Earlier, invocation prayer was led by Wokha town Baptist church pastor Rev. Sulumo Ezung while the session was chaired by Naga Hoho vice president K. Inaka Assumi. <\/p>\n
The new team of Naga Hoho executive council for the term 2013-2018 included- P. Chuba Oz\u00fckum as president, H.K. Zhimomi and Samson Remie as vice presidents, Mutsikhoyo Yhobu as general secretary, John Yemba and Chitho Ngusu as secretaries, C. Daipou as information and publicity secretary, Mhonchumo Lotha as cultural and customary affairs secretary, R\u00fcungutuo Sach\u00fc as finance secretary, Medoselhou Keretsu as federal assembly speaker, Kenyuseng Tep as deputy speaker, K. Elu Ndang as assembly secretary, and outgoing president Keviletuo Kiewhuo as advisor.<\/p>\n
Apart from the host tribe Kyong, other tribes who sent delegates to the general session included Angami, Ao, Rengma, Chakesang, Pochury, Sumi, four units from Zeliangrong, Mao, Poumai, Tangkhul, Maram, Moyon, Monsang, Anal, Maring, Lamkang, Tangkal, Chiru, Chothe, Tarao and Inpui besides invitees including the NSF, UNC, Tangkhul Mothers\u2019 Association, Rengma Mothers\u2019 Association and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
