{"id":169023,"date":"2013-01-05T00:56:50","date_gmt":"2013-01-05T00:56:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/01\/05\/rio-releases-book-on-dan-ii-thanks-colleagues-bureaucrats-and-people\/"},"modified":"2013-01-05T00:56:50","modified_gmt":"2013-01-05T00:56:50","slug":"rio-releases-book-on-dan-ii-thanks-colleagues-bureaucrats-and-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/01\/05\/rio-releases-book-on-dan-ii-thanks-colleagues-bureaucrats-and-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Rio releases book on DAN-II; thanks colleagues, bureaucrats and people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/APLRHWRMNRFZQYLFYWNI.jpg>Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio thanked God for&nbsp; the achievement made under ruling NPF-led DAN coalition and also expressed gratitude to his council of ministers and legislators for their cooperation in making the DAN government complete its second term.<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking after releasing a book on achievements of the government under DAN coalition (2008-12) at a function held in the State Banquet Hall here today.<\/p>\n<p>Rio&nbsp; said the achievements were also made possible due to the peoples support and exemplary performance by the state bureaucrats. <\/p>\n<p>He also expressed gratitude to the Government of India generous funding to the state and also congratulated his colleagues for their leadership in pushing forward programmes and schemes for the benefit of people under various departments.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Rio also credited bureaucrats and government officials under former chief secretary Lalthara for carrying forward programmes and policies of the DAN government.<\/p>\n<p>He said DAN, in its second term, could work in line with the motto \u201cPeace for Developmet and Development for Peace\u201d as it has the mandate of people.<\/p>\n<p>He cited various achievements under various sectors during the tenure of DAN such as&nbsp; landmark achievements in&nbsp; Agriculture, policies framed for oil and natural gas exploration, policies for the Youths, adoption of the State logo, the introduction of Dr. T. Ao Sports Award, naming of local roads after prominent citizens and the Park in Mokokchung in honor of the first Chief Minister of Nagaland, P. Shilu Ao. <\/p>\n<p>He also appreciated the full cooperation received from the civil societies, churches, students and thanked them for making the tenure peaceful and a successful one.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in his introductory speech, former chief secretary Lalthara said even though DAN is a coalition, it was a remarkable achievement that it was&nbsp; completing its tenure without any hiccups.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Lalthara mentioned various&nbsp; awards received by the state under DAN such as-&nbsp; Bharat Nirman Award for Rural Housing in 2009 and Nirmal Gram Puraskar Award (Clean Village Award) for 90 villages from the Government of India and has been selected for Krishi Karman Award for the Best Performing State in overall food grains production among Category-III States by the Ministry of Agriculture &amp; Food Processing Industries. <\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned that Nagaland was&nbsp; receiving the outstanding performance Award in Rashtriya Swastha Bima Yojana (RSBY) programme implementation for the last four consecutive years from 2009 to 2012; Most improved State in Infrastructure in the Small State Category from the India Today Magazine Group.
