Minister for Higher Education and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along interacted with members of Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students Union (DENSU) at Nagaland House, New Delhi on July 19.<\/span><\/div>\n
A press release from New Delhi Nagaland House PRO stated that in a series of meetings with student union bodies in Delhi, the minister has met Naga Students Union (NSUD), Ao Students Union and Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students Union (DENSU). <\/span><\/div>\n
During the meeting with DENSU representative members, Along exhorted the students and asked them to work hard with sincerity calling them ambassadors of the Nagas to Delhi.<\/span><\/div>\n
The minister also shared his vision for the student community of Delhi and appealed to the students to work together for the unity of the Naga\u2019s in general.<\/span><\/div>\n
The DENSU members narrated their activities in Delhi and also placed their grievance before the minister. The DENSU leaders requested Along to promote their area by establishing a Science college and an Arts college in the ENPO region.<\/span><\/div>\n
They also appealed to the minister to give Eastern Nagaland Students a chance who, they said, were well qualified to be appointed as science college lectures, to encourage upcoming educated youth.<\/span><\/div>\n
The minister assured them that the points they raised would be looked into and his department would support them in whatever way possible.<\/span><\/div>\n
H. Khehovi Yepthomi, advisor for Tourism and Art & Culture also attended the meeting. The meeting was concluded with a prayer followed by a dinner hosted by the minister.<\/span><\/div>\n
