Raising executive member, steering committee of NSCN (I-M) has virtually blamed the Indian constitution as being the \u201croadblock to the Indo-Naga political solution\u201d.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Raising asserted that \u201cdictated accord or peace\u201d was no solution but \u201ca time bomb.\u201d He said Naga understanding of the solution did not depend on the \u201csubjective decision\u201d of the majority, as&nbsp; Nagas were not confronting the \u201ccolossal forces\u201d of India and Burma out of \u201chatred or hunger\u201d for land but \u201csurvival politics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said it was imperative for people all over the world to live together in peace, in accordance with the doctrine of mutual cooperation and not confrontation.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>While reaffirming the stand of the NSCN(I-M) for solution, Raising however said the \u201cspirit of political solution inspires our confrontation\u201d and that negotiations were aimed at solution as the group\u2019s politics was centered on solution.<\/p>\n<p>He also added that the group\u2019s \u201cdiplomacies, policies and strategies are focused on solution\u201d as were all Naga civil societies,&nbsp; churches, people and political parties\u201d were also \u201coriented to solution\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Maintaining that solution needed to be found at all \u201ccosts and by all means, \u201c Raising warned that if the solution was not found, the \u201cirrational monster of war\u201d would fill the void and that if it returned,&nbsp; people on both sides would be the victims. <\/p>\n<p>On the recent election, Raising accused the government of India of having poured&nbsp;&nbsp; money into Nagaland state with the intention of \u201cdampening the revolutionary spirit of the Nagas.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He also said the Centre created a \u201cpuppet state\u201d that embraced only 1\/5th of the Naga homeland with a view to legalize its \u201cillegal occupation\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>He said the developmental programs and policies were to fill the \u201ccoffers of its sycophants and military operation commanders.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He said despite talk of peace,&nbsp; \u201cgenuine peace\u201d seemed far from people\u2019s reach. Raising also maintained that peace was the language of God but when the institutionalized \u201cdivine law\u201d was transgressed, \u201ccommotions, fighting and killings\u201d take place.<\/p>\n<p>Further, he said the future of Nagas was threatened which they had been defending&nbsp;&nbsp; with \u201ctears, sweat and blood against the aggressors.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Raising opined that the identity, culture and history, land and institutions would never survive \u201c when our future is murdered.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Stating that Nagas did not exist by the \u201cgoodwill of its neighbors or at the mercy of the aggressor state\u201d, Raising pointed out that rulers going against that law bring \u201ccommotion, crisis, fighting and bloodshed\u201d in any given society. He&nbsp; reiterated that the problem of the Nagas was political in nature.<\/p>\n<p>Affirming that Nagas have their own unique history, identity, culture, social values, established laws and land , Raising added, that colonial policy of one nation and one culture had no takers in the region. <\/p>\n<p>He concluded that the NSCN would stay the course even if situation turned for the worse or the better. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a marked departure from earlier statements involving the fate of the political negotiations for solution to the Naga political issue, Rh.
