Reacting to the press statement issued by GPRN\/NSCN over Thursday\u2019s firing incident at PWD junction in Kohima, NSCN (K) Friday said the rival faction\u2019s \u201cutter haste to implicate and blame People\u2019s Army of Nagaland, NSCN\/GPRN Urban command Kohima\u201d has exposed their \u201cpitiable frustration under the shadow of deceit and falsehood.\u201d<\/p>\n
In statement, NSCN\/GPRN People\u2019s Army of Nagaland (PAN) clarified that its personnel were travelling in a car from Chandmari upwards PWD when \u201clt. Atoka Kachari and \u2018maj.\u2019 Khekugha Manipuri led hoodlums\u201d waylaid and attacked the car with volleys of automatic bursts from the rear.<\/p>\n
NSCN (K) said the cadres did not retaliate with a single bullet and simply sped away safely without any casualty or injury. <\/p>\n
NSCN (K) further said the urban formation Kohima was not deployed under any cadre named Botovi whom the \u201cKhehoi group\u201d falsely attempted to implicate. NSCN (K) said it could not be held accountable under any circumstance, adding, the firing and resultant injury to an innocent civilian should squarely be shouldered by \u201cKhehoi gang.\u201d <\/p>\n
Further, NSCN (K) informed the state\u2019s law enforcing agencies, civil societies engaged in ensuring public safety and all stake holders especially in and around Kohima that the recent firing incidents in Kohima were being perpetrated by Atoka and Khekugha and the duo\u2019s \u201cpenchant for blood\u201d has exacted maximum toll on peaceful co-existence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
