Acharya BJP Election- in-charge as the guest of honour at the state capital on January 12.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stated the party was planning to contest on all the 60 seats and that a decision will be taken in this connection by the state election committee. <\/p>\n<p>He also said people of Nagaland had suffered enough and that time has come for peace to come to this land. He said the BJP has been playing an important role for bringing peace in this troubled torn state over the years. <\/p>\n<p>He also said peace was essential for all round development in the State and further praised State BJP leaders for their selfless services for the uplift of the people.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking on the occasion was PB Acharya who is election in-charge of Nagaland and Meghalaya. He expressed serious concern on the pathetic conditions of the state\u2019s most backwards districts&#8212;Tuensang, Mon, Longlen and Kiphire. He said these areas were completely neglected and they were suppressed and exploited by the rulers of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Assuring that the BJP, if voted to power, would do its best to see that these most neglected parts of the state are taken care of and the people in the areas enjoy their share.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier state BJP President Dr. M Chuba Ao said the opening of the BJP Election Central Office at Kohima is important as all the election related matters are to be worked out from this office. <\/p>\n<p>He lauded the party workers for their selfless sacrifices all these years and further stated \u201cWhat the party is today\u201d was because of their selfless sacrifices. He further urged the party workers to continue with the same spirit so that the party would not only grow from strength to strength but also give immense service to the people.<\/p>\n<p>Senior state and Kohima District BJP functionaries attended the opening function.<br \/>\nVote of thanks was pronounced by R. Sopu Angami, state vice president.
