Ngongyen and general secretary Lungchem Phom cautioned that failure to receive any positive response from the government within the stipulated date, the PSC would be \u201ccompelled to opt for any sort of steps to secure the rights of the deprived students of the district.\u201d Asserting that PSC and several other stakeholders of the district have approached successive governments to address the problem of lack of teachers, the signatories, however, said the response of the government \u201chas been clearly shown by the nil progress of the schools\u201d particularly in the HSLC examination results.<\/div>\n<div>PSC lamented poor performance of the government high schools successively in each academic year in HSLC results in Longleng district, saying the responsibility for poor state of affairs lay with the state government and the school education department.<\/div>\n<div>Further, the conference accused the state government of betraying and depriving hundreds and thousands of students with the basic necessity amongst which failure to provide required number of teachers was the most prominent one.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, PSC has put forth the present position of schools.
