{"id":173916,"date":"2018-08-23T11:44:57","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T11:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2018\/08\/23\/aids-tb-awareness-programme-held-in-wokha\/"},"modified":"2018-08-23T11:44:57","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T11:44:57","slug":"aids-tb-awareness-programme-held-in-wokha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2018\/08\/23\/aids-tb-awareness-programme-held-in-wokha\/","title":{"rendered":"AIDS &#038; TB awareness programme held in Wokha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/2018_8$large_11_adi.jpg><\/p>\n<p>The Red Ribbon Club (RRC), Mount Tiyi College (MTC) Wokha conducted a program on HIV\/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) awareness on August 20 at the college seminar hall.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A press release from MTC principal, Dr. Apeni Lotha stated that the resource persons were Dr. Benchilo Ngullie, DTO and Lichumo Odyuo, DPO (DAPCU).<\/p>\n<p>In the first session, Lichumo Odyuo spoke on HIV\/AIDS and, with the aid of district-wise data, warned about the alarming growth of AIDS infected people in the state. He also explained the establishment of HIV testing centres in the state and their accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>In the second session, Dr. Benchilo Ngullie discussed TB at length. She emphasised on its causes, diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The program was chaired by Faustina, assistant professor of Sociology and a welcome address was delivered by the principal.
