{"id":173997,"date":"2018-08-27T12:25:55","date_gmt":"2018-08-27T12:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2018\/08\/27\/measles-rubella-vaccination-from-october-3\/"},"modified":"2018-08-27T12:25:55","modified_gmt":"2018-08-27T12:25:55","slug":"measles-rubella-vaccination-from-october-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2018\/08\/27\/measles-rubella-vaccination-from-october-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Measles &#038; Rubella Vaccination from October 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>As part of the National Strategy to eliminate Measles and control Rubella in the country by 2020, Nagaland will conduct the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (M-RVC) from October 3.<\/p>\n<p>DIPR reports that to achieve this elimination goal, a new vaccine will be introduced in the program, targeting children from 9 months to 15 years. All the targeted children will be provided with an additional dose of MR vaccine regardless of their previous vaccination status or history of Measles\/Rubella like illness. Following the campaign, MR vaccine will replace Measles vaccine under Routine Immunization given as 2 doses at 9 to 12 months and 16 to 24 months of the child.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from October 3, the vaccination will be conducted in schools during the 1st two weeks and later, in the community through outreach sessions at Anganwati centers and Health sub-centers.
