{"id":174057,"date":"2018-08-31T10:44:39","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T10:44:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2018\/08\/31\/sps-students-learn-about-mithun-at-icar\/"},"modified":"2018-08-31T10:44:39","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T10:44:39","slug":"sps-students-learn-about-mithun-at-icar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2018\/08\/31\/sps-students-learn-about-mithun-at-icar\/","title":{"rendered":"SPS students learn about Mithun at ICAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/2018_8$large_ICRS.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Students of UKG from Shalom Public School (SPS) Chumukedima visited ICAR &ndash;NRC on Mithun and ICAR Nagaland Centre, Medziphema on August 29 as part of their extracurricular activities, led by teacher Ketholeno.<\/p>\n<p>A press release from ICAR-NRC on Mithun stated that, though Nagaland owned 34,871 numbers of mithun&nbsp; (2012 census), many children living in towns were yet to see a mithun in real life.<\/p>\n<p>While visiting the laboratories, students had an opportunity to interact with some scientists and they also witnessed scientific rearing of mithun under semi-intensive and intensive systems in the institute&rsquo;s farm.
