District level “Rashtriya Poshan Maah”, was celebrated on Tuesday, at the Sangtemla community hall,  Mokokchung which was attended by large number of Anganwadi & Asha workers’ representatives.  CDPO Talisangla was the resource person. The event was organised by District Welfare Office.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the participants, Talisangla said that ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’, was part of ‘POSHAN Abhiyaan’, (the Prime Minister’s scheme for holistic promotion of nutrition) from national to the rural level. She said POSHA Abhiyaan was adopted in the month of September 2018 as the “Poshan Maah”, to celebrate with an aim to reach every household with the message of “nutrition”.<\/p>\n

Talisangla, further said that Poshan Maah will be observed with day to day activities in all the Anganwadi & Asha centers with timely intimations of ‘weekly programmes’, from the Department of Welfare, throughout September 2018.<\/p>\n

Earlier, introductory speech was delivered by District Welfare Officer, Bendangkokba and short speech by CDPO Kobulong, Imliyanger. To create awareness amongst participants about ‘Poshan Maah’ programme, quiz competition was conducted by Limawati Jamir. The programme concluded with a “mini-cheap nutritious food cooking method display” by the supervisors of Mokokchung District Welfare Office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
