Parents of Jubilee Memorial School (JMS) were treated with an elaborate and eventful extravaganza gala show under the theme: ‘Create Dreams’ on Saturday, by the teaching faculty and students of JMS, at Mokokchung Town Hall, on account of the ‘JMS Parents Day’ celebrations.<\/p>\n
While delivering the ‘Thoughts from the Heart’, guest of honour & chief medical officer, Mokokchung, Dr. P Medemmayang, stated that four of his children being students of the school he was delighted to be part of an elite school — well regarded and prestigious, not only in the state but all the North Eeastern states.<\/p>\n
He congratulated the school management and the teaching faculty for these achievements and also appealed to parents to be more supportive of the school in the future endeavours of the institution.<\/p>\n
Dr. Medem wanted the teachers and the parents to create ignited minds in the students. He said there were many students struggling to compete, but they lacked proper motivation which, he said, is a negative aspect of this ever competitive world. He laid stress on this lack as one of the many drawbacks in the life of a person in this world with ever diminishing opportunities for success. He said that children needed to be carefully guided to harness and polish their talents to their fullest potential to succeed in life.<\/p>\n
The function began with a passionate ‘Ode to Parents’, recited by Toshimenla, followed by a special prayer for all parents by school Chaplain Moarenla Chingmir. The JMS Choir presented a melodious song ‘Bless You’.<\/p>\n
Some other highlights of the event was the honouring of parents by the students of lower classes, followed by a myriad of songs, dances (traditional & Indian), musicals, plays, etc performed by students and teachers.<\/p>\n
The emcee of the event was Sashisola, the welcome note was delivered by principal, SK Maiti, and the invocation was said by Thejano.<\/p>\n
