{"id":182059,"date":"2018-10-19T11:40:15","date_gmt":"2018-10-19T11:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2018\/10\/19\/khensa-bodies-want-isbt-functional-within-2-months\/"},"modified":"2018-10-19T11:40:15","modified_gmt":"2018-10-19T11:40:15","slug":"khensa-bodies-want-isbt-functional-within-2-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2018\/10\/19\/khensa-bodies-want-isbt-functional-within-2-months\/","title":{"rendered":"Khensa bodies want ISBT functional within 2 months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Khensa Village Council (KVC), Khensa Sensotsur Telongjem (KST) and Khensa Students Union (KSU) Friday served a two-month ultimatum on the responsible authorities demanding prompt action to begin functioning of Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Khensa village Mokokchung.<\/p>\n<p>In a joint memorandum addressed to DC Mokokchung, the KVC chairman Kilentoshi, KST president Tiamenla Khensa and KSU president Imliyanger pointed out that the ISBT, which was completed in 2010 and inaugurated on August 2, 2011 by the chief minister Neiphiu Rio, has not been functioning for the past seven years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They said the land allotted by the Khensa villagers was left abandoned and defunct making it highly susceptible to anti-social activities and incidents at the site.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They reminded that KSU had written to the district administration in 2015 appealing for immediate action. Besides, they said KVC had also approached the authority several times to make verbal requests.
