Neikha flags off adventure camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/2018_10$large_flag.jpg><\/p>\n<p>The 11 adventure camp organized by Department of Youth Resources &amp; Sports under the National Programme for Youth &amp; Adolescent Development (NPYAD) Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports, Government of India was flagged off by advisor, Youth Resources and Sports, Er. Zale Neikha on October 23 at John Government Higher Secondary School, Viswema.<\/p>\n<p>According to DIPR report, Neikha expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports, Government of India for granting funds for the said programme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said that the main objective of the programme was to develop leadership qualities and personal development through active participation in sports and games besides fostering the spirit of adventure. He expressed hope that organizing such kinds of events and participating in such activities would facilitate harmony and tranquillity amongst the youth thereby promoting and propagating national integration at large.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, he urged the youth to take this event as an opportunity to build new relationship and get to know each other irrespective of tribes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the department would seek assistance from the ministry in order to organize such events in the coming days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Altogether, 88 participants from ten districts turned up for the three-day event. The programme included trekking to Dzukou valley, sightseeing in and around Kohima, trip to Dzulekie, rappelling, river crossing, fire making, basic survival techniques etc.<\/p>\n<p>The flagging off programme was attended by officials of the department and leaders of various organisations from Viswema village.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Er.
