Mathai Monday announced the launch of Wings in NE-II circle covering Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh during the press conference held at BSNL Telecom office, Dimapur.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The Chief General Manager (CGM) said that Wings is the company\u2019s first internet telephony service in India. Wings is a prepaid initiative in its landline offerings, and a rent free landline connection for existing subscribers. The service will allow subscribers to make and receive calls over the internet via landline or mobile phone. One time activation fee for the VoIP service has been set at Rs. 1,099.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The state owned telco will have to link a mobile numbering scheme with the mobile app in order for calls to go through. The company is also offering free audio and video calling for one year at the above mentioned activation fee, with a target to subscribers in areas with poor mobile coverage.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">With the Wings Internet telephony services, users can make and receive calls using broadband, Wi-Fi, 4G, or 3G internet; video calling is only supported for Wings to Wings calls, said Mathai.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The company has started registrations for the new service in all telecom circles and new connections will be activated and rolled out from August 1, 2018. One will also be able to place international calls that will be charged in line with the existing landline tariff with an additional ISD deposit of Rs. 2,000.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Using the VoIP based service will enable to place international calls to any other network in the country. To use the service, a customer needs to install a SIP client (soft app) on any of its smart devices like laptop, smart mobile handset, tablet etc. Its customers can register a new \u201cWINGS\u201d connection at BSNL website www.bsnl.co.in and pay online.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Another BSNL service \u201cASEEM\u201d was also introduced. Under this scheme, a customer can choose a landline indicator of his choice (except landline vanity indicator) and all incoming calls to this number shall be automatically forwarded to one number of any network of subscriber choice without any additional cost implication. Call diversion from virtual landline number to any BSNL number of subscriber\u2019s choice has been set at Rs. 99 per year; call diversion from virtual landline number to any other network\u2019s number of subscriber\u2019s choice at Rs. 199 per year.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">On shifting of residence in TNF (Technically not feasible) area, existing landline customers shall be allowed to opt for \u201cASEEM\u201d plan.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">BSNL also introduced new marketing initiatives in broadband combo plans at Rs. 99, 199, 299 and 491 plans offering 45 GB, 150 GB, 300 GB and 600 GB per month along with 24 hours free unlimited calling (local+STD) on any network within India.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">BSNL also informed that 4G service will be coming soon to Nagaland with high data speed (100Mbps).
