The first Sunday of the month of November is celebrated as World Sunday School Day throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>TCKT observes WSD: With the rest of the world the Tenyimia Church Kiphire Town (TCKT) celebrated World Sunday School day at the Church premises on November 4.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pastor, Kiphire Town Baptist Church, Thujoveyi in a short speech, shared some stories with the Sunday School children and said that the Sunday Schools were founded by Robert Raikes in the year 1780 in the city of Gloucester in England.<\/p>\n<p>The pastor informed the congregation that Raikes felt compassion for the parentless and poor children. He felt that they should be trained and educated on, and taught the love of God, and they should experience the blessing of God in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>The TCKT pastor also exhorted the children on the subject of obedience and said that children who disobey their parents will turn out to become bad individuals and this will lead to bad consequences. He also stated that obeying God and parents will lead to God&rsquo;s blessings even on earth. Sunday School children participated in different kinds of activities like Bible recitation, choreography, etc. (Correspondent)<\/p>\n<p>LBCD observes World Sunday School Day: Along with the rest of the world, Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar (LBCD) also celebrated &ldquo;World Sunday School Day&rdquo; on November 4, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>According to a DIPR report, NBCC education secretary, Kohima, Pideno Kikon who was the speaker on the occasion spoke on the topic, &ldquo;The worth of a child&rdquo;. Quoting from the book of Psalms (127:3), she said that children were a gift and a heritage directly from the hands of God. She reminded the congregation to ponder on their roles as parents in the upbringing of their children as responsible parents and as desired by God.<\/p>\n<p>Marking the day, Sunday School students of LBCD showcased their talents through skits, choreography, dances, Bible verse recitations and many more. On the occasion, pastor of LBCD, Limhathung Lotha on behalf of the church, delivered a welcome note and felicitated the Sunday School superintendent and all the teachers under him. The program was chaired by Sunday school teacher, Noyingbeni S.
