Patton stated that Mhathung was accompanied by chief engineer, Er. K. G. Sumi and additional chief engineer PHE, Er. Repang Longkumer, director Horticulture, Dr. R. Elithung Lotha and other senior officials from various departments.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings were held on November 10 and 11, where the officials made the villagers aware about the initiatives being undertaken by the government under various schemes. The advisor chaired the public meeting on November 11 evening where issues faced by villagers were discussed and also erring officials not performing their duties were asked to perform their duties diligently.<\/p>\n<p>The village administration, women hoho, and student unions were also asked to be more proactive as mediators to bridge the gaps. Mhathung also encouraged the government officials, village administration officials and the villagers to voice their grievances for redressal on paper by reaching out to him through proper channels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On November 12, the advisor accompanied by the village administration, GBs and others visited the primary health centers, government schools, official quarters, where some of the structures were found in dilapidated conditions and needing immediate restoration.
