This was an important step toward building a strong base for economic self-reliance through inculcating work culture in \u201cour youth\u201d, it added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Stating that the good intention has unfortunately been misunderstood, WC clarified that established business houses operating for years are no longer exempt from taxation. It alleged that a large numbers of \u201cnon-local entrepreneurs\u201d continue to operate in the name of indigenous Nagas, which has adversely affected the prospects of genuine Naga youths from succeeding.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Joint ventures with locals by non-locals too would not be exempted in any manner. Keeping locals as supervisors, guardians, bouncers and fake proprietors in business establishments shall be dealt with appropriately, the statement warned.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">WC also appealed to traditional institutions like village headmen, chiefs and colony headmen in towns in Naga areas to subscribe to customary assistance such as house tax, soul census tax, etc.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">\u201cThese are a reaffirmation to our political position and status.
