BA and B.Com students of Unity College Dimapur (UCD) were given a “lead talk on Indian armed forces” by officer commanding, C Company 5 Assam Rifles, Major Ishat Singh at the college seminar hall on March 16. <\/p>\n

A press release from UCD media cell stated that Major Ishat enlightened students on intricate details of the Indian armed forces for both male and female candidates, regarding commissioned officers, process of application, life in the armed forces, and benefits during service in and after retirement from the armed forces. He also clarified questions on educational qualifications, age limits, physical, mental and medical fitness of intending candidates. The talk, organised by the IQAC placement cell, UCD was chaired by Mhonbeni Jami, dean, Students Welfare of UCD. <\/div>\n
