{"id":192104,"date":"2019-03-25T12:21:44","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T12:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2019\/03\/25\/elephant-rampage-victims-receive-immediate-relief\/"},"modified":"2019-03-25T12:21:44","modified_gmt":"2019-03-25T12:21:44","slug":"elephant-rampage-victims-receive-immediate-relief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2019\/03\/25\/elephant-rampage-victims-receive-immediate-relief\/","title":{"rendered":"Elephant rampage victims receive immediate relief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/2019_3$large_elepeha.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Thirty five farmers of Longtsung Village, whose crops, plantations, fisheries, water pipe lines, rubber processing machines were destroyed by wild elephants on March 7, received some funds as immediate relief on March 25.<\/p>\n<p>According to DIPR, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) chairman &amp; DC, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, personally handed over the relief fund to those affected at a small function held at Longtsung Community Hall under Wokha Sanis ADC headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Samoon, at the dispensation program stated that he had been in touch with various agencies and the Forest department to chalk out plans to solve the human-elephant conflict menace.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also added that due to increase in elephant menace cases he is keeping in constant touch with concerned authorities so that some alternative remedial measures can be taken up to solve this problem faced by the villagers.<\/p>\n<p>He promised the administration&rsquo;s support when such incidents cause loss, and urged villagers to inform administrative officers so that timely action and help can be initiated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He however pointed out that the government cannot restore 100% of the losses but requested those affected to apply for assistance through proper channels so that they can be given immediate relief.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Longtsung village Council, on behalf of villagers and people of the area, expressed gratitude to the DC for personally coming to the village and taking note of their grievances.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elephant rampage victims receive immediate relief<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-192104","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/192104","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=192104"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/192104\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=192104"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=192104"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=192104"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
