{"id":196362,"date":"2019-06-25T12:09:01","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T12:09:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2019\/06\/25\/tsud-appalled-by-pil\/"},"modified":"2019-06-25T12:09:01","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T12:09:01","slug":"tsud-appalled-by-pil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2019\/06\/25\/tsud-appalled-by-pil\/","title":{"rendered":"TSUD appalled by PIL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Tenyimi Students&rsquo; Union Dimapur (TSUD) said it was shocked and appalled by the PIL filled by one Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay, who was not even a resident of Dimapur or had not even visited Dimapur while demanding protection of non-Nagas residing in Dimapur<\/p>\n<div>TSUD president Rukewezo Wetsah stated that Dimapur has been hailed as a &ldquo;haven&rdquo; for illegal immigrants while the indigenous community has every right to appeal to the authorities or the government to ensure that the illegal immigrants checked. TSUD also rebutted claims by Upadhyay that most businessmen in Dimapur had closed their businesses due to ILP. It dismissed this as nothing short of a concocted lie, with malafide intention to tarnish the image of the Nagas. It also pointed out nowhere in India was any local organization headed by a non-local. In this regard, TSUD cited the example of DCCI, a premier business body in Nagaland, where non-locals have majority of members. It said non-local have always &ldquo;enjoyed our hospitality&rdquo; and living in harmony and Nagas will always show their hospitality.&nbsp; Referring to minister of Higher &amp; Tech.
