 A nationally recognised singer, Ngukavi Zhimomi, who goes by the pen name NK Naga, won the prestigious “National Patriotic Song Award” (NPSA) on January 12 and received the award here at Millennium Hall, Durga Mandir, Dimapur in the presence of vice president, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Dr. Sinam Rajendra Singh. <\/p>\n

NK Naga won the award for his song, titled, “Bapu”. It can be noted that NK Naga is the first ever Naga Hindi singer to win the Bharat Vikas Parishad Talent Award 2019, for the title “National Patriotic Song Award”.  <\/p>\n

In an interview with the awardee, it was also learnt that he won Dimapur “District Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi” and also bagged the best song title in the pop category (Hindi) at the 11th Music Awards of Nagaland organised by Native Trax Society, for the song “Bapu”. <\/p>\n

NK Naga hails from Shena New village of Zunheboto and currently resides at Thahekhu, Dimapur.  <\/p>\n

His other song which has received national recognition includes “How’s the Josh”, which will be featured at the series called “Paramilitary Series”.  <\/p>\n
