{"id":213171,"date":"2020-04-08T12:21:57","date_gmt":"2020-04-08T12:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2020\/04\/08\/ku-laments-price-crisis-amid-covid-19-pandemic\/"},"modified":"2020-04-08T12:21:57","modified_gmt":"2020-04-08T12:21:57","slug":"ku-laments-price-crisis-amid-covid-19-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2020\/04\/08\/ku-laments-price-crisis-amid-covid-19-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"KU laments price crisis amid COVID-19 pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Konyak Union (KU) through its media cell has alleged that people in Mon district were made to pay much higher price for various items owing to &ldquo;uncontrolled existence of black market in Assam&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<div>KU said the present crisis was not confined to the pandemic alone, adding that the pandemic itself was also creating social disorder due to &ldquo;uncontrolled abnormal price rise.&rdquo;<\/div>\n<div>KU said prices have inflated by 35% due to escalations in Assam and cited parimal rice which has shot up to Rs.37 per kg within a week after lockdown as against Rs.27 per kg pre-lockdown period.<\/div>\n<div>It claimed that the rise in price was due to existence of &ldquo;numerous and unaccounted black market&rdquo; in the neighbouring Assam that was causing &ldquo;drastic artificial inflation.&rdquo;<\/div>\n<div>The Union (KU) has appealed to the state government to intervene and take up the issue with Assam government or central government.<\/div>\n<div>KU through its media cell also appealed to all business agencies\/individuals to abstain from taking advantage of current pandemic.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The Union has also made a strong appeal on the minister and advisor in-charge of Mon district to immediately take up necessary measures in controlling price rise of essential commodities.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>It also called upon all the civil society organisations to voice out grievances.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KU laments price crisis amid COVID-19 pandemic<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-213171","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/213171","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=213171"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/213171\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=213171"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=213171"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=213171"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
