With the spike in COVID-19 positive cases in the state, civil organisations have intensified appeals to public for adhering to the government directives to combat community spread of COVID-19. State government and its agencies are constantly monitoring the returnees in various district quarantine centres. Returnees are also reminded to adhere to quarantine protocols for their own and other’s safety. Meetings are also conducted to update on preparedness level as well as coordinating with other agencies for smooth functioning of quarantine centres. For intra-district movement of people, the Mon administration launched the online ePass to negate the requirement of people visiting the office to avail the movement permit. MCCI paid visit to Tuensang to show solidarity to the frontier district while the ZCCI visited quarantine centres to hold prayer fellowship with inmates in Zunheboto. Public have been requested time and again to maintain social distancing, use sanitiser and mask for general welfare. <\/p>\n

Mon District<\/strong><\/div>\n

Online ePass launched at Mon: A programme through Google meet was held on June 6 for COVID-19 by District Task Force Mon. Deputy commissioner Mon Thavaseelan K, launched the online ePass system for intra-district movement of citizens at the National Informatics Centre, Mon in the presence of SP, project director DRDA, chief medical officer, empowered group and NGOs Mon. According to DIPR report, the online epass solution was developed by ezeDox, Bangalore. Veevendra Mishra founder of ezeDox briefed the gathering on the system of process for applying ePass. The company in collaboration with various state governments and district administration is providing various government services like ePass system distribution of food and rations to citizens movement of people in the containment zone and medical emergency requests amongst other services. The citizens can apply for ePass through the link htt:\/\/bit.ly\/monepass and after filling up all the details a confirmation SMS will be sent to their mobile number. Post approval of the application by the district administration Mon, the applicant will receive an SMS where the link for downloading the ePass will be provided. DC Mon also informed that ePass will be issued only for a specific purpose and for a limited period validity. The ePass system was introduced to negate the requirement of people visiting the office to avail the movement permit. <\/div>\n

Peren District<\/strong><\/div>\n

68 returnees from Gujarat & Maharashtra reach Jalukie: District administration of Peren along with Medical department, Police personnel, DPRO staff and JAC members received three buses carrying 30 male and 38 female returnees who were stranded in the states of Gujarat & Maharashtra on June 9 at GHSS ground, Jalukie. <\/div>\n
According to DIPR report, on arrival at the staging area, the returnees were screened after which they were shifted to quarantine centres arranged at Peren New Site. District administration also distributed beddings and other essential items to the returnees including gift hampers by BBBP Peren.<\/div>\n

Peren (DTF) not to entertain complaints: Peren District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19 meeting was held on June 8 at customary court, ADC office Jalukie under the chairmanship of DC Peren-cum-DTF chairman, Sentiwapang Aier.<\/div>\n
According to DIPR report, the house discussed on various agendas pertaining to the activities undertaken by the DTF. The nodal officers of different committees highlighted on their activities and meeting resolved not to entertain any complaint in regard to lodging or segregation of returnees coming from different parts of the country. However, special care has to be taken for the returnees keeping in mind the SOP of the government. Regarding catering\/cooking service, the house agreed to engage grade-IV staff of different departments and also to engage cooks from the Police department. <\/div>\n
ADC Peren, Moa Sangtam was entrusted to find a suitable location at Old Peren Hq for detention center and in case of non-availability of any alternative location, the house resolved to shift the inmates to Ganeshnagar Detention Centre, Dimapur. <\/div>\n
Discussion in regard to COVID Hospital was also held wherein the DTF entrusted SMO, CHC Jalukie, Dr. Yetovi Tuccu to prepare a detailed report of the availability of man-power, material equipments and also to locate a site for COVID Care Center at Jalukie.<\/div>\n

Zunheboto District<\/strong><\/div>\n

ZCCI visits quarantine centres: Zunheboto Chambers of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI) visited the four quarantine centres and held a short fellowship with the inmates while maintaining social distancing protocols on June 9. A press release from ZCCI media affairs, Holoka T. Sumi stated that, Rev. Dr Daniel pastor ZTSBC expounded on Titus 3:1-2 and reminded the inmates  that they should always be under the authority of rulers and government leaders and be ready to do good. He urged them not to speak evil of anyone but to live in peace with others. President ZCCI Kikheto Muru extended joy for their return home and warmly welcomed them. He urged them not to be discouraged for keeping them under quarantine facilities as this was being done to prevent from mass spreading.<\/div>\n
Rev. Dr. Daniel prayed for all the inmates and ZCCI distributed gift pack to all the inmates, frontline workers containing basic necessities.<\/div>\n

Longleng District<\/strong><\/div>\n

SJC Longleng prayer meeting: St. Joseph’s Church (SJC), Longleng church officials conducted a brief prayer meeting with DC, Longleng at his office chamber on June 9. <\/div>\n
A press release from parish priest Rev. Fr. Alex Vizo and general secretary Shumei Antony of the church stated that while briefing DC on the purpose of the meeting, S. Charles Chingmei, catechist on behalf of Catholic faithful of St. Joseph’s Church, Longleng thanked DC and members of COVID-19 district task force for their invaluable services that they render to protect citizens of the district from COVID-19. Speaking at the prayer meeting, Rev. Fr. Alex Vizo, parish priest assured church members’ constant prayers for DC, members of COVID-19 District Task Force Longleng, frontline workers and people of the district. <\/div>\n
Meanwhile, in solidarity with the sacrifices of COVID-19 district task force and frontline workers in containing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and as a goodwill gesture and support in this common fight, Catholic faithful of the church, contributed Rs. 50,000 towards COVID-19 district task force, Longleng. Meeting concluded with benediction by Rev. Fr. Alex Vizo, parish priest.<\/div>\n

Kohima District<\/strong><\/div>\n

99 returnees from Gujarat and Maharashtra reach Kohima: A total of 99 returnees from Gujarat and Maharashtra reached Kohima who were received at the reception centre at IG stadium, Kohima on June 9. Out of 99 returnees which included 35 male and 64 female were screened and sent to government quarantine facility centres at Kohima.<\/div>\n
According to DIPR report, on their arrival, the reception committee led by its co-convenor & ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa along with medical team received the returnees at the venue. The returnees arrived in six NST buses from Dimapur.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

State report on COVID-19 lockdown: State Home department in its daily report on COVID-19 lockdown in the state informed that there was no violation of the lock down as on June 8 and no law & order incident has been reported. <\/div>\n
According to DIPR report, joint secretary, Hiazu Meru in his report also informed that all essential goods, shops for food grains & groceries and milk remained opened in all the districts of the state except Mokokchung. Shops for medicine also continue to remain opened in all the districts, the report added and maintained that there was no shortage of essential goods in the state. <\/div>\n
Further, the report said that there was no imposition of restrictions on the movement of essential service providers like electricity\/telecom facilities\/medical facilities etc. The movement of personnel\/workers in manufacturing units and also commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and e-commerce agents were all carried out without any restrictions. Suitable arrangements being made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions will continue to remain the same. In this regard, there was 1 (one) active relief\/shelter camp and 2 (two) food camps, one each in Kohima and Dimapur respectively where 124 (one hundred and twenty four) persons were given food by the government\/NGOs.<\/div>\n

Tuensang District<\/strong><\/div>\n

Tuensang DTF meeting deliberates on QCs: Tuensang District Task Force (DTF) held a meeting at DC conference hall on June 9, chaired by DC and chairman DTF Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant. <\/div>\n
According to DIPR report, basing on the change in SOP, establishment of one special Police quarantine center for delinquent inmates was discussed. The house discussed to instruct all the villages and wards to get prepared with their community QCs and for home quarantine, since the inmates those who have completed 14 days quarantine phase and have tested negative will be sent to respective villages and wards. The house also discussed on the priority of testing and segregation of the inmates which is getting delayed by the non availability of the testing machines and not getting the samples which have been sent to Kohima for testing. Waste management of the QCs located near the residential areas was also discussed. DC also acknowledged the volunteers of the four students’ bodies of Dimapur namely Chang, Khiamniungan, Sangtam and Yimchunger for assisting the Tuensang liaison team at Dimapur. He also acknowledged the COC Mokokchung team for good gesture shown to DTF Tuensang in terms of monitory donations.<\/div>\n

MCCI visits frontier district of Tuensang: In solidarity with the people of Tuensang district, theMokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) visited the frontier district on June 8 and met representatives of various civil organizations as well as the deputy commissioner of Tuensang. <\/div>\n
A press release from MCCI stated that, a brief interactive session was held at the Tuensang deputy commissioner’s conference hall between the visiting MCCI team and DC Kumar Ramnikant in the presence of TCCI members and elders of Tuensang based tribal apex bodies. <\/div>\n
MCCI and TCCI also held a special sitting at the latter’s office chamber wherein the business community of the two neighbouring districts exchanged views on improving ties with special focus on the post-COVID19 economic scenario.<\/div>\n
Earlier, MCCI had donated a sum of Rs. 1 lakh (1, 00,00\/-) to the Tuensang DTF on COVID-19 which was handed over to the DC through the president of Tuensang Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TCCI), Dorothy Chang. <\/div>\n

Wokha District<\/strong><\/div>\n

WCSU appeals citizens to be cautious: Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) has appealed citizens of Wokha town to be cautious while shopping by avoiding crowded gathering in market areas and to use face mask. <\/div>\n
A press release from WCSU president, C. Lonshithung Lotha also informed the shop owners to equip and follow proper SOP, use of hand gloves and mask during shopping hours. <\/div>\n
WCSU further appealed to the town council administrator Wokha to timely check and review the prices in the market, stating that price hoarding on livestock were apparently high in the market. WCSU also stated that it would inspect the market areas within its jurisdiction on timely basis and defaulters if found will be dealt with severe action.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
