State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) hiked price of petrol and diesel for the ninth consecutive day on Monday with petrol price going up by Rs 5 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.87 a litre in nine hikes.<\/p>\n

Petrol price was increased by 48 paise per litre and diesel by 23 paise per litre on Monday. After today’s rate revision, petrol price in Dimapur rose to Rs.81.63 while price of diesel increased to Rs.72.84.<\/p>\n

In the state capital, Kohima, petrol price was hiked to Rs.83.48 per litre and diesel price to Rs.73.51 per litre. Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT.<\/p>\n
