{"id":215181,"date":"2020-05-16T12:37:01","date_gmt":"2020-05-16T12:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2020\/05\/16\/522-45-ha-agri-crops-damaged-in-nagaland\/"},"modified":"2020-05-16T12:37:01","modified_gmt":"2020-05-16T12:37:01","slug":"522-45-ha-agri-crops-damaged-in-nagaland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2020\/05\/16\/522-45-ha-agri-crops-damaged-in-nagaland\/","title":{"rendered":"522.45 ha agri  crops damaged in Nagaland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>The recent impact of heavy rainfall, thunder squalls and hailstorm damaged 522.45 hectares (ha) of agricultural crops in Nagaland.<\/p>\n<p>An assessment on the scale of damage in terms of area and types of field crops affected were surveyed by the field officers and functionaries in their respective districts and sub-divisions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The details of district wise field area and crops affected from highest to the least affected were&#8211; Zunheboto 212.5 ha (maize, kholar, potato, cucumber &amp; watermelon), Kiphire 182.0 ha (maize, kholar &amp; potato), Tuensang 59.0 ha (potato, cabbage, kholar &amp; maize), Kohima 20.0 ha (potato, maize, jobstear, cabbage &amp; carrot), Longleng 18.5 ha (paddy, maize &amp; vegetable), Dimapur 12.45 ha (maize, tomato &amp; vegetable), Mokokchung 9.6 ha (paddy, maize &amp; vegetable (cucumber, yam etc.) Phek 8.0 ha (maize, bean &amp; cabbage) and Peren 0.4 ha (maize)<\/p>\n<p>According to director of Agriculture, M.
