Wall Street’s major averages ended sharply higher, buoyed by better-than-anticipated US employment data.<\/p>\n

The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Friday soared 829.16 points, or 3.15 per cent, to 27,110.98. The S&P 500 increased 81.58 points, or 2.62 per cent, to 3,193.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 198.27 points, or 2.06 per cent, to 9,814.08, Xinhua reported.<\/div>\n
All the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors finished higher, with energy up 7.46 per cent, leading the gains.<\/div>\n
US employers added 2.5 million jobs in May, and the unemployment rate dropped slightly to 13.3 per cent, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
