Hokishe Assumi, director of Industries &amp; Commerce and Tali Longchar, director (I\/C), MSME-DI, Dimapur on August 17.<\/p>\n<p>In a release, NTTC stated that under this project, the centre conducted various types of training programmes on agro-based rural technologies developed\/manufactured at the centre for exposure and to gain more knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>A group of trainers and artisans were also sent to Tamil Nadu for training on banana fibre extraction and handicraft making. The centre also participated in various exhibitions\/trade fair where products manufactured at NTTC were displayed, demonstrated and received positive feedback from participants.<\/p>\n<p>According to the centre, there are currently 22 agro based rural technologies developed\/manufactured under this scheme such as bamboo shoot slicer, vegetable crusher-cum-slicer, smoke-free meat dryer, banana fibre extractor (electrical version), hand tools for hill farming among many other machineries.<\/p>\n<p>It may be noted that the &ldquo;agro-based rural technology &amp; incubation centre&rdquo;, a scheme funded by ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, India was aimed at generating employment opportunities by setting up self-employment ventures by bringing widely dispersed traditional artisans and unemployed youth.<\/p>\n<p>It also aims to provide continuous and sustainable employment to traditional and prospective artisans and rural\/urban unemployed youths to arrest migration of rural youths to urban areas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agro-based RTIC inaugurated at NTTC<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-219570","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/219570","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=219570"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/219570\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=219570"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=219570"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=219570"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
