Nagaland COVID-19 tally inched towards the 4000-mark after 71 fresh cases were reported from across the state on Sunday. With this, the tally as on August 30 stood at 3922 cases– 887 active, 3017 recovered, 9 deaths and 9 migrated. <\/p>\n

According to Health minister, S. Pangnyu Phom 49 new cases were detected in Kohima, 13 in Tuensang, 5 in Mokokchung, 2 each in Zunheboto and Dimapur.<\/p>\n

As per the severity of symptoms, 874 cases are asymptomatic,11 mild and 2 moderate cases.<\/p>\n

Further, out of the 3,922 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 1,673 cases from the Armed Forces, 1255 returnees, 283 frontline workers and 711 traced contacts.<\/p>\n

Agencies: <\/em>India on Sunday set a new COVID-19 record when it reported 78,761 new infections in 24 hours, according to health ministry figures, passing the United States for the world’s highest single-day rise. The COVID-19 tally also zoomed past 35 lakh, just a week after it crossed the 30-lakh mark.<\/div>\n
The total coronavirus cases rose to 35,42,733, while the death toll climbed to 63,498 with 948 people succumbing to the diseases in a span of 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.<\/div>\n
The recovery rate has increased to 76.61 per cent while the COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.79 per cent.<\/div>\n
There are 7,65,302 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 21.60 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated.<\/div>\n
India’s COVID-19 cases rose from 20 lakh to 30 lakh in 16 days and 10 lakh to 20 lakh in 21 days.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
