No new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Nagaland on December 27 while the caseload stood at 11897.<\/p>\n
As per Health department’s data 23 positive patients were discharged after their recovery from the infection on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in its weekly report, the Health & Family Welfare department has expressed serious concern that 663 cases or 14% of cases from the community that have been tested positive in flu clinics had no history of travel or contact with a positive case. “This is worrying since it signifies many more undetected cases in the community. One undetected case in a social gathering is enough to cause a super spreader event,” the health department stated.<\/p>\n
It also said that the State’s sample positivity rate continues to remain high at 10% against the national average of 6, although there has been a decline from a record high of 15.5% in October.<\/p>\n
The department further said that post-festival surge in COVID-19 cases was a major worry in the State.<\/p>\n
