{"id":231125,"date":"2021-05-26T13:50:02","date_gmt":"2021-05-26T13:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2021\/05\/26\/centre-rationalises-remdesivir-distribution\/"},"modified":"2021-05-26T13:50:02","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T13:50:02","slug":"centre-rationalises-remdesivir-distribution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2021\/05\/26\/centre-rationalises-remdesivir-distribution\/","title":{"rendered":"Centre rationalises Remdesivir distribution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;In view of its panic buying amid surge in Covid-19 cases and limited production, the Government of India (GoI) has decided to rationalise distribution of Remdesivir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Accordingly, health &amp; family welfare (H&amp;FW) department said States and Union Territories were allocated the drug on pro rata basis, and its procurement and supply was done as per the allocation.<\/div>\n<div>Hospitals engaged in treatment of Covid-19 cases are to submit their requirement for allocation according to the quantity allocated by GoI. Further, the Central government and development\/ donor partners also provide in kind from time to time.<\/div>\n<div>The H&amp;FW department pointed out that as on date, there was no definitive treatment available for Covid-19, and WHO had made conditional use of Remdesivir for treatment of Covid on November 2, 2020.<\/div>\n<div>The department quoted Lancet Journal (Vol. 21, Issue 1, page 20-21, Jan 10, 2021) as having stated that Remdesivir was recommended for patients with mild or moderately severe cases not requiring respiratory support.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Mentioning that Union ministry of H&amp;FW had authorised its emergency use in specific circumstances, the health department clarified that Remdesivir could be given in moderate and severe cases as per the State Clinical Management Policy.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Centre rationalises Remdesivir distribution<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-231125","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/231125","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=231125"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/231125\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=231125"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=231125"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=231125"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
