{"id":231915,"date":"2021-07-19T13:28:10","date_gmt":"2021-07-19T13:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2021\/07\/19\/zcci-petitions-dc-against-poor-mobile-connectivity\/"},"modified":"2021-07-19T13:28:10","modified_gmt":"2021-07-19T13:28:10","slug":"zcci-petitions-dc-against-poor-mobile-connectivity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2021\/07\/19\/zcci-petitions-dc-against-poor-mobile-connectivity\/","title":{"rendered":"ZCCI petitions DC against poor mobile connectivity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industries (ZCCI) has urged Zunheboto deputy commissioner (DC) to take steps to improve mobile network connectivity in the town.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a representation to the DC, ZCCI president Kikheto Muru and general secretary Inahoto G Assumi stated that telecom services were deteriorating and the people were looking for a solution, with appeals being made by different organisations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They said even though subscribers were persistently enduring the hardship with the hope that things would improve, the problem was worsening, adversely affecting the general public and business and student communities in particular.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ZCCI also conveyed to the DC their unhappiness at the alleged insincere effort and weak authority of the district administration in directing telecom service providers (TSPs) to improve their services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mentioning that there was a paradigm shift in the way trade was conducted with the advent of telecommunication, with millions carrying out trade from home, the chamber claimed that the situation was desperate at Zunheboto town with people struggling even in making phone calls, leave aside internet and online video calls except barring some few pockets of the town.<\/p>\n<p>When financial transactions in businesses were going digital in other places, ZCCI regretted that people of the town were running to ATMs and banks as cash trading was the only means for trading. It warned that growth of trade and commerce would continue to be adversely affected unless the authority concerned understood the situation and took an active role in addressing it.<\/p>\n<p>The chamber alleged that school dropouts increased at Zunheboto following the switch to online teaching due Covid-19 pandemic, adding that the &ldquo;obvious reason&rdquo; for this was poor network connectivity.
