Sources said the funeral service will be held at his private residence at Asukhuto town on June 23.<\/p>\n<p>Born on November 29, 1937, late Yeshito was elected MLA as an independent candidate from 32 Atoizu constituency in 1974 assembly election. He was a minister under United Democratic Front government.<\/p>\n<p>Organisations and leaders including Western Sumi Hoho; Er. Picto Shohe, MLA from 32 Aotizu constituency, All Sumi Students&rsquo; Union and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee have mourned the demise of N Yeshito Chishi.<\/p>\n<p>In a condolence message, WSH president Atoizu subdivision described late Yeshito as &ldquo;a tall public leader, a man of principle and integrity&rdquo; who gave his best for the uplift of the society.<\/p>\n<p>The hoho said that the demise of late Yeshito was a great loss to the Nagas and the Sumis in particular. WSH conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God grant them peace and solace during this time of grief and sorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing grief over the demise of late N. Yeshito Chishi, the sitting MLA from 32 Atoizu A\/C Er.Picto Shohe said that late Yeshito was &ldquo;bestowed with high intelligence&rdquo; who had far-fetched vision to work and uplift the Atoizu Constituency in particular and the Nagas in general.<\/p>\n<p>Shohe said that late Yeshito was second generation batch of officers and intellectuals among the Sumis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recalling his close association with late Yeshito dating back to 1964, the MLA said they continued to remain close till his demise.<\/p>\n<p>Shohe said Yeshito&rsquo;s demise has brought irreparable loss to people of Atoizu and Nagas in general.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Further, he conveyed condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed God Almighty grant them comfort and solace at this time of grief and sorrow.<\/p>\n<p>SKK: All Sumi Students&rsquo; Union (SKK) has expressed deep pain over the demise of late N Yeshito Chishi, ex-minister and former president of SKK (1966-77).<\/p>\n<p>In a condolence note, SKK president Hutoshe Kits and general secretary Bokalu V Zhimo said that late Yeshito was one of the most charismatic leaders who played a key role in framing and structuring the growth of SKK into a substantial frontal organisation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Stating that he was among the &ldquo;very few dignified, sensible and charming politician&rdquo;, the SKK said the tremendous service rendered by him towards the union would be honoured and respected throughout generations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Expressing regret for not being able to pay last respect to the departed leader due to the current pandemic situation, the SKK, however, prayed that God grant him a special place from where &ldquo;he will be watching us, the people who loved and cherished him.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>NPCC: Expressed deep sadness and shock over the demise of late Yeshito Chishi, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) said the Naga society in his passing has lost a tall leader and a comforting father figure leaving an irreplaceable vacuum.<\/p>\n<p>In a condolence message, NPCC president K Therie said late Yeshito was &ldquo;an all-rounder, a socialite with updated knowledge of national and state politics and was committed to resolve the political problem.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Therie said the contributions late Yeshito made not only to the people he represented but to the entire state would be remembered and recounted for generations to come.<\/p>\n<p>NPCC president, on behalf of party rank and file, offered deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty God through His abundant Grace grant them peace and comfort through this painful hour of parting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ex-minister Yeshito Chishi passes away<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-232617","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/232617","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=232617"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/232617\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=232617"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=232617"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=232617"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
