{"id":234756,"date":"2021-08-19T11:57:18","date_gmt":"2021-08-19T11:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2021\/08\/19\/scc-conducts-faculty-development-programme\/"},"modified":"2021-08-19T11:57:18","modified_gmt":"2021-08-19T11:57:18","slug":"scc-conducts-faculty-development-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2021\/08\/19\/scc-conducts-faculty-development-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"SCC conducts faculty development programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/http:\/\/new.nagalandpost.com\/cms\/gall_content\/no_images_650x.jpg><\/p>\n<p>A national level online faculty development programme under the theme, &ldquo;academic writing&rdquo; for teaching faulty of college, universities and research scholars was organised by IQAC and Research Committee of Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang from August 4-10.<\/p>\n<p>A press release by the college stated that the objective of the programme was to learn about details involved in writing effective research paper and to understand the process of publication.<\/p>\n<p>Resource persons assistant professor (department of Education) Mizoram University, Dr. Kabita Kumari spoke on &ldquo;Research Writing: Exploring the Paradigms&rdquo; and &ldquo;Research Writing: Building Blocks&rdquo; and assistant professor (department of chemistry) SCC, Dr. Shokip Tumtin spoke on &ldquo;An Elementary Approach Towards Publishing Review Papers in Journals&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Another resource person, head, government polytechnic, Gaya, Dr. N. K. Prasad while speaking on &ldquo;Article Writing: Best Practices&rdquo; briefed the characteristics of scholarly article and explained how to write article and how to publish them in reputed peer reviewed journals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Assistant professor, Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal, National Council of Educational Research and Training, Dr. Vanthangpui Khobung spoke on &ldquo;Details: I&rdquo; while resource person, assistant professor (department of education) Mizoram University, Dr. Kabita Kumari spoke on &ldquo;Citing References&rdquo;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a keynote address, director, Higher Education Nagaland, Dr. Apeni Lotha encouraged teachers to stay driven in order to excel in one&rsquo;s chosen field.<\/p>\n<p>The programme saw active participation and interaction between the resource persons and participants along with practical exercises and discussions.
