200-BEDDED ACF AT CIHSR TO BE HANDED OVER BY OCT 15<\/strong><\/p>\n Hospital bed capacity in Dimapur will see a huge increase when 200 additional beds will be added to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) by October 15 and the District Hospital Dimapur also to be upgraded to 200 beds.<\/p>\n On Monday, Health & family welfare (H&FW) minister Pangnyu Phom visited CIHSR to inspect the progress of construction of a 200-bedded Acute Care Facility.<\/p>\n According to press secretary of the minister, representatives of Glocal Healthcare Systems Pvt Ltd involved with the construction of the pre-fabricated structure were present during the minister’s inspection. While informing that the project would be completed and handed over by October 15, Pangnyu expressed satisfaction that the construction has progressed to its final stages. <\/p>\n He said the acute care facility was being built to respond to any possible third wave of Covid-19 in Nagaland. The facility would also be available for any other mass health emergency in future.<\/p>\n The minister was accompanied by Nagaland Health Project(NHP) assistant project director Dr L Belho, H&FW engineering wing executive engineer Moanaro Longkumer, chief medical officer (CMO) Dimapur Dr Moatemjen and other officials. <\/p>\n CIHSR director Dr Sedevi Angami and representatives of Glocal Healthcare Systems Pvt Ltd Gautam Choudhary and Sougato were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n Later, the minister also visited the construction site of CMO’s office building and new DHD building at Dimapur besides Chümoukedima Hospital.<\/p>\n Regarding construction of the CMO office building, it was informed that the work was expected to begin soon and scheduled to be completed within 22 months.<\/p>\n Construction of an additional building to accommodate 50 beds was also underway at DHD.
