Sources speculated that the reason could be over organisational restructuring etc.<\/p>\n<p>Chophi held a meeting over this matter on October 19 at his residence at Hoito Village, attended by &ldquo;all regional workers, UT-1, Naga Army and secretariat staff, who declared their allegiance to vice president, Akato Chophi,&rdquo; sources said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, it was learnt that the declaration of the split was deferred for &ldquo;some days&rdquo; at the request of a senior NPG leader. Sources from within the group said despite Akato &ldquo;enjoying the majority support within the group&rdquo;, he decided not to impeach the president Wangtin Naga and general secretary P Tikhak. It may be mentioned that Akato was a member of NSCN (I-M), NSCN (K) and joined GPRN\/NSCN. He resigned from the post of kilonser for NGOs and Public Relation GPRN\/NSCN in the year 2017 and joined NSCN (R) later that year and appointed as vice president.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>&lsquo;Declaration of endorsement kept on hold&rsquo;<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, NSCN (R) through its MIP informed that the meeting held on October 19, at Hoito village was &ldquo;aimed for endorsement of some very important and impending issue&rdquo;. It said that majority of regional authorities, UT-1, secretariat staffs, Naga Army, political wing and ACLs attended the meeting.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>However, MIP said that the declaration for endorsement was kept on hold\/in abeyance for two-three days &ldquo;due to a very personal request of WC, NNPGs convenor, N.
