The 26th annual Art Directors Guild Awards, which is scheduled to be held on March 5 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, has announced its nominations.
The nominations have been broadly classified into two umbrella categories of film and TV productions, reports variety.com.
While films like \u2018The French Dispatch\u2019, \u2018Licorice Pizza\u2019, \u2018West Side Story\u2019 and \u2018The Tragedy of Macbeth\u2019 have been nominated in the period feature film category, \u2018Nightmare Alley\u2019, \u2018Dune\u2019, \u2018Cruella\u2019, \u2018Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings\u2019 \u2018Ghostbusters: Afterlife\u2019 and \u2018The Green Knight\u2019 landed recognition in fantasy feature film category.\u2019
The TV category boasts of titles like \u2018Mare of Easttown\u2019, \u2018WandaVision\u2019, \u2018The Underground Railroad\u2019 in the limited series category and \u2018Loki: Glorious Purpose\u2019 and \u2018The Witcher: A Grain of Truth\u2019 find themselves competing in the one — hour period or fantasy single — camera series category.
The \u2018Gganbu\u2019 episode of South Korean survival drama \u2018Squid Game\u2019 has been nominated in the one — hour contemporary single — camera series category along with \u2018The Handmaid\u2019s Tale: Chicago\u2019, \u2018The Morning Show: My Least Favorite Year\u2019 \u2018It\u2019s Like the Flu\u2019, \u2018A Private Person\u2019 and \u2018Succession: \u2018The Disruption\u2019, \u2018Too Much Birthday\u2019.
Oscars contenders like \u2018Spencer\u2019, \u2018The Power of the Dog\u2019, \u2018Belfast\u2019 and \u2018Cyrano\u2019 have been left out of the nominations for the awards ceremony produced by Michael Allen Glover.
