{"id":25024,"date":"2017-11-25T00:00:40","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T00:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2017\/11\/25\/nsacs-clarifies-on-cd4-machine-arv-drug\/"},"modified":"2017-11-25T00:00:40","modified_gmt":"2017-11-25T00:00:40","slug":"nsacs-clarifies-on-cd4-machine-arv-drug","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2017\/11\/25\/nsacs-clarifies-on-cd4-machine-arv-drug\/","title":{"rendered":"NSACS clarifies on  CD4 machine &#038; ARV drug"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) while reacting to complaint regarding the breakdown of the CD4 machine, has clarified that a new complete backup set with CD4 machine, cartridges is expected to be installed by December at Dimapur ART plus centre.<\/div>\n<div>While appreciating the PLHIV community of Dimapur and ARK Foundation for highlighting pertinent issues, NSACS has regretted the inconvenience faced by the community.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>A clarification issued by project director NSACS, Ngangshimeren stated that as reported in the local dailies, the complaint regarding the breakdown of the CD4 machine due to the poor battery backup was received on the first week of November.<\/div>\n<div>Accordingly, NSACS said \u201caction for release of fund for the purchase of new battery was initiated immediately. However, due to technical problem, there was a little in transferring the fund, yet battery backup has been replaced with a new set on November 22\u201d.<\/div>\n<div>In this connection, NSACS has clarified that a new complete backup set with CD4 machine, cartridges contributed from the chief secretary\u2019s welfare fund is expected to be installed by December at Dimapur ART plus centre, considering the heavy case load.<\/div>\n<div>Regarding the ARV drug, NSACS has clarified that there was no shortage of ARV drugs at the centre and replenishment of drugs is done on regular basis. It stated that at present the ART plus centre has the adequate strength of manpower with one senior medical officer, one medical officer, one staff nurse, three counsellors, one laboratory technician, one pharmacist, two data entry operators and one care coordinator with a client load of 100-200 per day.<\/div>\n<div>NSACS also highlighted the NACO\u2019s guideline for test and treat policy that irrespective of CD4 count, all HIV positive people has to be given treatment; stating that, it is only through partnership and collaborative efforts that it could push ahead to achieve the goal of Test All, Treat All, whether HIV positive people has done CD4 count or not.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) while reacting to complaint regarding the breakdown of the CD4 machine, has clarified that a new complete backup set with CD4 machine, cartridges is expected to be installed by December at Dimapur ART plus centre.
